Rajoelina Will Not Run For President
The latest news out of Madagascar is that neither Andry Rajoelina nor Marc Ravalomanana will be running for president in the upcoming May/June election. Hopefully this means the elections will actually happen later this year and that they will go off relatively smoothly.
(Ravalomanana was the president of Madagascar in 2009, and Rajoelina was the president who took control in the coup. In 2009, all Peace Corps volunteers were evacuated from Madagascar, though they returned soon after.)
